Smejkal

James is an associate attorney at Bichler & Longo, PLLC. He represents First Responders around the State of Florida in pursuit of claims relating to heart disease, hypertension, cancer, PTSD, and other mental/nervous injuries.

A Central Florida native, James earned his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. James attended the University of Central Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in marketing and a minor in Sports Business Management.

While at Mercer Law, he interned at the Houston County Public Defender’s Office. James zealously advocated on behalf of indigent clients who were committed crimes. James won a prestigious Book Award for earning the highest grade in his Torts Law Seminar class.

James is a member of The Florida Bar, The Orange County Bar, a member of Judge Wieland American Inn of Court, and a member of The Florida Workers’ Advocates. While not practicing law, James enjoys chasing waves to surf and traveling to new places.
